Land-Tech Consultants, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering consulting firm established in 1979 to provide professional land use and public works consulting services. Land-Tech is a subchapter S corporation and a Certified Small Business in Connecticut. The Land-Tech staff includes engineers and environmental scientists with advanced degrees and extensive experience in public works and infrastructure design and construction; land-use evaluation, planning and design; environmental impact analyses and wetland assessments; and soil erosion and sediment control. Staff members have professional experience as employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service; and the cities and towns of Newtown, Marlborough, Stamford and Wilton. Land-Tech provides expert consulting services to a wide range of clients throughout the Northeast. The firm's clients include private industry, land developers, and consulting engineers, as well as municipal and state governments. Based on client needs, Land-Tech offers complete coordination of projects or selected consulting services. The firm also presents expert testimony before regulatory agencies and in court proceedings. Land-Tech is constantly updating its capabilities through continuing education, ongoing literature reviews, applied research, and preparation of supporting documents for land use applications. Areas in which the firm has demonstrated expertise include civil and environmental engineering, environmental impact assessment and mitigation, and erosion and sediment control. The Firm is also active in the creation, management, and restoration of wetland environments. Land-Tech has designed and constructed wetlands as mitigation, control, and renovation of storm water runoff, and has evaluated the ability of riparian wetland environments to renovate sewage.
