Predicant Biosciences was formed in 2002 on the belief that the ability to define and monitor biological states through the analysis of bodily fluids will lead to a revolution in medicine and biomedical research. Our goal is to become the world leader in identifying and assaying patterns that reflect and differentiate biological states with minimally invasive procedures. Currently, physicians do not possess the tools necessary to accurately predict disease states or properly stratify patients with cancer and other diseases. Current tests for the detection, diagnosis and monitoring of disease are only minimally informative in terms of detecting the earliest stage of disease, predicting the outcome of response to therapy, and identifying the earliest signs of disease recurrence. Predicant has assembled a world-class team of scientists and engineers in each of its core technology areas. Led by an experienced management team, Predicant seeks to transform the possibilities of its technologies into improved realities for patients. Funded by top-tier venture capital firms, Advent Venture Partners, Prospect Venture Partners, Venrock Associates and Versant Ventures, Predicant raised first round funding of over $27 million.
