Pomroy Associates (PA) is a full service real estate management company specializing in engineering, construction and environmental management services associated with real estate acquisition & divestiture, finance, development and asset management. The core members of Pomroy Associates were former real estate executives of Meditrust Corporation, which was the nation's largest publicly traded healthcare Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with real estate assets exceeding $7 billion. As Vice President of Development & Director of Property Management within Meditrust, PA principal Richard W. Pomroy and Charles F. Fox respectively were directly responsible for the in-house physical plant asset management functions of over 470 healthcare properties across the nation. They were also responsible for property acquisition due diligence for the company's acquisitions, and construction management of the company's development financing projects. During their tenure, the pair successfully developed, implemented and managed the procedures, protocol, reporting formats and record keeping database to effectively operate the company's Property Management Department. The Department's success was recognized throughout the industry and among institutional lenders, rating agencies and analysts. Effective operational and physical asset management drove the success and viability of Meditrust's real estate investments. Mr. Pomroy was also the Corporate General Manager of Meditrust's medical office building property management company subsidiary, which managed over 3 million square feet of medical office space in 8 states, and acted as Corporate Manager of the company's investment in a 2,055-acre mixed use Planned Unit Community in Jupiter, Florida.
