Light Age is a manufacturer and developer of custom medical laser systems for branded and OEM applications. In addition to our branded product lines we provide laser components and complete medical laser systems on an OEM basis to medical device suppliers, system integrators, and medical product distributors. We also develop custom systems for new medical applications. In this, we frequently partner with other companies and research institutions from some of the world's largest laser device suppliers and prestigious universities and medical centers, to start-up ventures and private practitioners. We perform or assist in product design, protocol development, clinical studies, regulatory approval, quality certification, training, and marketing. Custom systems have been designed and developed for numerous therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including systems for specific uses in cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, oncology, and for early treatment of strokes. Light Age also develops and supplies systems for medical research. We frequently employ our base of existing laser products to provide customized laser sources whose output can be varied to achieve the research goals or optimized as understanding advances. This can, and usually does, greatly reduce the time and cost involved in proof-of-principle demonstration, in gaining regulatory approval, and in bringing techniques to practice and products to market.
