From its modest beginning 21 years ago, the North Coast Repertory Theatre, a non-profit organization, has evolved into one of the area's leading performing arts organizations, recognized for the quality of its work and its commitment to excellence. In 2002 alone, NCRT has received three KPBS Patte' Awards and two Craig Noel Awards for Theatre Excellence for its plays: "Pageant," "Travesties," "Importance of Being Earnest" and "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol." Located in Solana Beach, in Lomas Santa Fe Plaza, NCRT presents seven plays year-round in its intimate 194-seat setting. In addition, the theatre involves thousands of young people each year in the Theatre School@NCRT's drama classes and performances.
