Founded in 1999, PayNet Inc. is headquartered in Skokie, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The company began as a data repository to replace the manual telephone call to obtain credit references for equipment lenders - a national industry representing more than $550 billion in net assets. Since that beginning, we have learned that the process of granting credit to small businesses is far from optimal (see Knowledge Center). We have found that our data and analytics enable our clients to dramatically improve their small business loan-originations and risk management processes (see Reference Cases). These tools for approving credit applications and for the analysis and review of portfolios bring speed, insight, and consistency to the credit-granting process. PayNet has recently expanded its focus to bring this same level of excellence to commercial credit cards and bank small business loans and lines of credit. PayNet is an original, proprietary, and large source of credit history data on small businesses (see Database Statistics).
