We are an independent motion picture production company located in Simsbury, Connecticut. Our team is comprised of about 15-20 talented members with the Legion of Aaron Vnuk, Michael O'Connor, Marc Dube and Robert Maffeo at the core. Yes, Aaron Vnuk and Michael O'Connor developed our philosophy in the summer of 2005 after many failed productions under the previous "guerilla filmmaking" model. We now make films with a "producer-first" mentality, which is quite the contrary to the approach used by most independent film companies of today where the producer is often overlooked or eliminated. The world of "low-budget" independent cinema is filled with individuals taking on countless credits such as; actor/director/producer/screenwriter, etc. We recognize the importance of the producer and the many levels of producers involved in a professional production. Legion Films is run by a trio of "power-producers" at its core who create the gateways to success. What is a Line Producer? Who is Marc Dube? A Line Producer was derived from the historic beginnings of film production and was resurrected by Aaron Vnuk to be used in his model of independent filmmaking. Our Line Producer is our top-level producer beneath only the Executive Producer and is given full control of a film set. Marc Dube is the Legion's Line Producer and is the Vice President of Production. How often do you put films into production? Does the Legion reach overseas? Yes, with the emergence of our sister company, Dreamcatcher Productions, located in Lahinch Co. Right now, we only offer limited avenues of distribution through our online retail outlet and with special packages on a Legion DVD.
