Piedmont Center for Mental Health Services provides a full range of community-based mental health services to residents of the southern and eastern areas of Greenville county. PCMHS strives to meet the increasing need for mental health services in this area by employing highly qualified professionals to provide a variety of assessment and treatment services to adults, children and families who are experiencing a disruption in their normal level of functioning including those adults who have a serious mental illness and children with severe emotional disturbance. We, also, employ skilled administrative support staff to help us meet the needs required to effectively implement an organized system of behavioral health care. Our variety of services are provided by over 100 individuals including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, counselors and other personnel. Staff of the PCMHS operating these programs are specially trained to meet the needs of the persons served with psychiatric illnesses. Program staff, along with psychiatrists, nurses and other staff from PCMHS hold regular meetings to develop individualized treatment plans. Clients, their families and other service agencies are encouraged to attend these meetings. A PCMHS Entitlement Specialist is available to explore funding options and resources available to persons served.
