SEMO Communications Corporation was founded in 1976 by Travis E. Garrett. The company originally specialized in cable television construction, but soon branched off into owning and operating cable television systems throughout the Midwest. Through the years the company has operated divisions providing services as varied as retail video stores to satellite television programming. Today the company primarily provides cable television service to small communities in the Southeast Missouri region.
