Since its conception, the Shelbyville Police Department has strived to protect and serve the citizens of Shelbyville in a courteous and professional manner. Our current authorized force of 23 officers are employees of the City of Shelbyville as well as active, involved members of the community. We are committed to the philosophical elements of Community Policing and our efforts will be guided by the Core Values of Respect, Integrity, Excellence, Cooperation, Problem Solving, and Accountability.
