He worked 3 years in the applied research department at Seagate Technologies, the world's largest manufacturer of hard disk drives, developing thin-film deposition processes. He also worked 5 years as a field engineer in the North Sea and Middle East for Schlumberger, an oilfield services company, before his entrepreneurial urges got the best of him in 1993. In 1996, he decided to make his part-time side-line business his full-time business and passion. That is when Rask, Inc. was formed.
