NeoRx is a cancer therapeutics development company dedicated to the development and commercialization of oncology products that impact the lives of individuals afflicted with cancer and metastases. The Company currently is focusing its development efforts on picoplatin, a next-generation platinum therapy with improved safety features that is designed to overcome platinum-based chemoresistance. NeoRx is currently studying picoplatin in a Phase II trial in patients with small cell lung cancer. In early clinical trials, picoplatin demonstrated clinical activity in patients with lung, prostate and ovarian cancers as a single agent and in combination regimens. NeoRx's business strategy is to form partnerships to support and expand its clinical programs and commercial opportunities and to continue to build its portfolio of oncology product candidates. NeoRx is collaborating with the Scripps Florida, a division of the Scripps Florida Research Institute, on the discovery of novel, small-molecule, multi-targeted, protein kinase inhibitors as therapeutic agents, including cancer treatments.
