Gunter Construction was established in January 1976 as a construction contractor building houses, pouring concrete and other construction services. During 1977, the company completed its first asphalt roof and in 1978 started installing Carlisle Syntec Systems' EPDM roofs. Around 1984, the company focused its business strictly on roofing. Gunter Construction incorporated in 1985 to become known as Gunter Construction Roofing, Inc. In 1995 we started installing Firestone Building Products EPDM roofs. Although the company is licensed to install many other manufacturers roof systems, we adhere primarily to Carlisle and Firestone as being our roofing systems of choice. Gunter Construction Roofing Inc. is licensed and has completed projects in all of the southeastern states and is primarily focused on Kentucky and Tennessee. The company is recognized for such projects as the K-Mart Distribution Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. This was our biggest single structure under one roof measuring 1,545,651 square feet or 35.48 acres. We also completed a project for the Adelphia Coliseum, which is home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans in Nashville, Tennessee. Although the job is only an approximate 1100 squares, it is on four different levels with a total of 105 different roofs. Most recently, we completed a new roof on the Plum Orchard Mansion in St. Mary's, Georgia that was the original winter home of the Carnegie family. This project was only 20 squares, but provided a unique challenge since the mansion is located on a secluded island that is only accessible by traveling 7 miles by boat. Gunter Construction Roofing, Inc. will fill the need of a professional roofing contractor in our area, which will provide the best service possible, utilizing the better products available creating a finished product that cannot be beat.
