Info
DBS creates and manages branded and private-labeled wireless communication services for consumers and distributes these products across multiple distribution channels including various retail formats. We are able to provide services with significant value to the consumer due to the flexibility of our proprietary technology to configure highly customized services that fit the needs of specific market segments. This unique capability within the wireless industry allows the DBS service lines to produce exceptional financial results for distribution partners and for DBS. Through its business model and proprietary technology, DBS enables organizations with marketing and sales competencies to independently package, distribute, and manage prepaid wireless airtime services on single and/or multiple large-scale wireless carrier networks. DBS has demonstrated that its service configuration, provisioning, and service management technologies when applied to private label brands and its own brands can:create prepaid wireless services that generate Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) in excess of industry benchmarks;profitably reach, serve, and sustain demographically defined niche markets (e.g., youth, ethnic, affinity groups) with low customer acquisition costs;efficiently utilize existing carrier networks and information systems to create services that are configured to attract demographically defined target markets;fulfill customer and retailer care responsibilities and emphasize private label brand reinforcement;allow immediate access to sales and market information for rapid management decision making;serve other marketing, distribution and sales organizations who have reach into retail and other distribution channels but lack proven service management and operating technologies; andserve national and regional carriers by reaching incremental and new subscribers. PlatformThe foundation of our proprietary technology, the Cellular Service Management System (CSMS), includes a relational data base model using advanced versions of Oracle as the database management system, intricate application logic and complex algorithms, internet based user interfaces, and interactive voice response (IVR) technologies. The systems architecture has been designed to scale rapidly with the growth of subscribers, markets, services, and distribution channels. The resulting benefits of the DBS technology platform include the ability to:maintain and deliver necessary consumer information related to their wireless service;enable rapid provisioning of various wireless services and features;support simultaneous service creation and service;provide information support for subscribers, retailers, and management decision making. CSMS has extensive management reporting capabilities through its relational database allowing DBS to monitor subscriber and distribution performance by geographic territory, demographic market segment, as well as service line profitability and subscriber consumption and purchasing statistics. CSMS interfaces with distribution channel partners directly through an IVR and internet based access.
