GreenMan Technologies, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, is in the business of collecting, processing and marketing scrap tires in whole, shredded or granular form. The Company conducts its tire processing operations in Iowa and Minnesota. Its tire processing operations are paid a fee to collect, transport and process scrap tires (collection/processing revenue) in whole, or two-inch or smaller rubber chips, which are then sold (product revenue). The Company’s scrap tires are used as feedstock for tire-derived fuel, civil engineering projects, and/or for further processing into crumb rubber. On October 1, 2007, the Company announced that it has acquired Welch Products, Inc., a company that specializes in design, product development, and manufacturing of products using recycled materials, primarily recycled rubber.(Source: 10KSB)
