Back in 1988, there were only a handful of homes in Seaside and the closest furnishing stores were in Panama City or Ft. Walton Beach. For Robert and Daryl Davis, cofounders of Seaside, a general store for the town was a perfect fit. Honoring Robert's great grandfather, Alabama department store legend, Louis Pizitz, the first town center shop was opened in the new Dreamland Heights Building.
