The Sanford Herald began publishing in Sanford, Fla., in 1908, so this is our centennial anniversary of serving readers and advertisers in our community. The first edition of the Herald was printed Aug. 22, 1908, and beneath the name of the paper were these words that are still true today: In Sanford -- Life is Worth Living.
