Horsley Witten Group (HW) continues to provide comprehensive site assessment, remediation, and Licensed Site Professional (LSP) services to private sector clients, federal, state and local governments, and Indian Tribes. We offer consulting services to manage site assessment and remediation projects with the most cost-effective strategies and technologies, focusing on development of site-specific objectives with each client to assure successful projects. We provide expert waste site remediation opinions for regulatory and multiple responsible party negotiation support services, as well as effective remedial solutions, utilizing on-site and in-situ remedial approaches. HW has completed projects involving preliminary and comprehensive site assessments, subsurface investigations and data collection through the installation of soil borings, groundwater monitoring wells, test pits, soil-gas vapor probes, etc. We have also completed the design and implementation of soil and groundwater treatment systems, air sparging/biosparging and soil vapor extraction/bioventing systems, passive venting systems, chemical oxidation injections and other methods of contaminant remediation. HW has also completed several Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Vessel Response Plans, MSDS compliance and training, and associated training for emergency response planning and performance. Along that same vain, HW has been selected by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to implement training and policy assistance through the Massachusetts Oil Spill Act.
