Established in February 1990, SLO Ocean Currents is locally owned and operated. Since its inception SLO Ocean Currents has grown to be a PADI five-star dive facility which boasts clean air, a full rental department, equipment service, and retail sales. In addition we have a store sponsored dive club and community outreach programs. In the beginning SLO Ocean Currents had two instructors and two employees. Today SLO Ocean Currents averages six employees in addition to five diving instructors. Not bad for a small little town in paradise. SLO Ocean Currents offers divers many different opportunities to go diving. With over 20 different scheduled boat trips and two-three warm water trips a year, we are sure to get you wet! Located in San Luis Obispo, only 10-15 minutes from the ocean, we pride ourselves in being knowledgeable in California diving as well as abroad. Our staff continues to further our own education so that we can keep up with what is new and exciting in diving. At SLO Ocean Currents you will find the staff to be friendly and helpful. It really is an extended family atmosphere where you can drop by and just say "hi".
