The Yerba Buena Alliance has served as advocate for the Yerba Buena Gardens neighborhood since 1991. A non-profit membership organization, the Alliance represents businesses, cultural organizations, residential complexes, hotels and public agencies in YBG and environs,an embodiment of the neighborhood's diversity and success. Initially formed to develop and promote a positive and cohesive image for YBG, a project of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency which reclaimed a severely blighted area of San Francisco, the Alliance has become the voice and the nexus for the entire neighborhood. Educating the local, regional, national and international communities, bringing together disparate elements of the community, problem-solving, championing the entities in YBG and advocating for increased resources for the neighborhood, the Alliance is proud to celebrate its 12th anniversary and salute some of those who have contributed so much to Yerba Buena Gardens.
