Founded in 1982, Underwater Resources, Inc. is a licensed general engineering contractor specializing in underwater repairs, rehabilitation, and new construction services on inland, coastal and offshore marine and submarine facilities. For the engineering community, we also provide consulting services and perform both general condition and critical analysis underwater surveys on steel and concrete structures. We offer teams of qualified commercial divers and marine technicians who are formally trained and committed to providing professional services on a 24-hour basis for emergency response, short and long term projects. Our marine technicians perform a variety of remote underwater inspections using sonar imaging and profiling, video and still camera documentation and equipment to monitor, measure and record submerged site conditions and our inspectors are ANST, AWS and ABS certified to perform UT, MT and CWI surveys. URI has owned and operated two ROV systems since 1984, which are capable of performing inspection tasks to depths of 1000 feet with pipeline and tunnel penetrations of over 1 kilometer. We also maintain and utilize a variety of other nondestructive testing instruments and imaging tools useful in steel inspection, underwater mapping, sediment and scour surveys, and locating and quantifying debris. Certified as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Underwater Resources services both the public and private sector for civil engineering, infrastructure repair, coastal and offshore marine projects. Our clients include oil production and refinery facilities; reclamation, water and other special districts, public works for counties and municipalities; government owned and commercial shipping lines; industrial process and plant facilities; as well as both owner and consulting engineers for the water, wastewater, coastal marine, and hydroelectric industries. Underwater Resources is a member of the Association of Diving Contractors (ADC) and Association of General Contractors (AGC), and strictly complies with OSHA and other industry standards to ensure safety, excellence and efficiency.
