Info

Andrea Schwartz Gallery was founded in San Francisco in 1982. The gallery's third and new 3,400 square foot exhibition space is located in San Francisco's South of Market district. The grand opening for the new location was June 12, 2003. Andrea Schwartz graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1977. Her background as an artist has aided her understanding of the perspectives and intricacies in the art world. Through it's exhibition program the Andrea Schwartz Gallery has supported work that is challenging and at the forefront of contemporary practice and represents a select group of emerging and mid-career artists from the Bay Area and throughout the country. The range of work includes photography, paintings on canvas and panel, works on paper, installation and sculpture. In addition to solo and two person exhibitions we curate thematic shows. Recent exhibitions at the gallery have been reviewed in ArtNews, Artweek, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, San Francisco Bay Guardian, SF Weekly and Paper City. Gallery artists are included in museum collections throughout the United States and in Europe and Japan. We provide advice and consultation to our private and corporate collectors and pride ourselves in our knowledge and expertise.
