Kids to CampYMCA staff member Andrew Cuffel recently shared a personal story with us and we’d like to share it with you. It’s about a 10 year old boy and one of the best summers of his young life. Out of respect, we will call this young YMCA participant, Michael. Before Andrew became a YMCA Director at the Mission Valley Y, he spent 7 years as a YMCA Youth Leader and Site Supervisor at a YMCA Afterschool program at Toler Elementary. As an 18 year old, he had no idea what the mission of the Y was, much less how he could impact it as an employee.
