Genomatica is a privately owned, venture capital funded company. In addition to the financial and technological contributions provided by its founders, it has enjoyed two successful rounds of venture financing. The Company's initial private financing closed 2001 with an equity investment from Iceland Genomic Ventures, a group of private Icelandic angel investors. As the Company's technology evolved, it sought additional venture financing to further advance its core platforms as well as consolidate its expanding facilites. In July of 2007 significant financing was secured from Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV), Alloy Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
