D3 Technologies, Inc. is an engineering design and technical support firm headquartered in San Diego, with regional offices and personnel located throughout the nation. Founded in 1982, D3 presently has approximately 300 employees. The staff includes engineers, designers, and related professionals, with expertise in the areas of mechanical, structural, and system design; stress and finite element analysis; tool design and engineering; numerical controlled programming; logistics and program support; and avionics software and hardware development. One of our virtues is the fact that we have an extensive background in both military (as a prime and subcontractor) and commercial programs. Additionally, we are seasoned veterans when it comes to applying the procedures and standards that generate the highest quality products in the most cost efficient manner. In our role as a prime contractor to NAVAIR, during the past twenty-three years, D3 has performed a multitude of engineering functions in support of numerous aircraft. This includes airframe, electrical, avionics and mechanical system hardware, software design and integration projects and maintenance engineering for aircraft such as the E-2C, C-2A, F/A-18, F-14, F-4, QF-4 and various rotary wing aircraft in the Navy's fleet under the cognizance of the NADEP. In recent years, D3 has performed under several programs that have focused on the process of Virtual Product Development. This has included contracts with Boeing (777), Lockheed Martin (F-22) and Northrop Grumman/McDonnell Douglas (F/A-18 E/F). D3's extensive CATIA and UGII Computer Aided Design capabilities, including hardware, software and data management, has been developed to allow D3 to support its customers in the role as a major contractor services provider. The electronic communication technology in place at D3 has given us the ability to communicate worldwide with our clients, on a real time basis, in terms of engineering data, models, and analyses transmittals.
