Ceregene's science is focused on the development of new, innovative products to treat tragic, degenerative diseases of the brain and eyes. Each employs one of the company's proprietary neurotrophic factors, delivered to the area of major degeneration in a targeted and sustained fashion, using the company's proprietary gene delivery technology. Neurotrophic factors are naturally-occurring proteins long known to restore the health and vitality of degenerating neurons and retinal cells, thus improving their function while making them better able to survive disease and death.
