Info

Wilson Financial Advisors, Inc., (WFA) manages investment advisory accounts, on a non-discretionary basis, for a flat fee. The service we provide consists of quarterly reviews and reporting to client with suggested changes, if any. According to definitions by the SEC, the agency has deemed that this is not investment supervisory service, and, as a consequence, WFA is required to register on the state level only. However, total client assets WFA advises on a retainer basis are over $150 million. In addition, WFA has clients that come in for hourly investment reviews and other financial planning issues. Hourly clients come on their own schedule, and frequency. We are not responsible to them on an on-going basis, but only when they request advice. Other areas we advise on include mortgages (how to finance, finding the best mortgage), home equity financing, risk coverage, tax and estate planning, retirement planning, and college financing. Our services are called comprehensive financial planning, as opposed to financial planning, where advice may be limited to investments. Basic Fee Schedule:Work is billed at $125-$165 per hour, depending on advisor's personal hourly charge. In certain instances, depending on clients' needs and the services to be performed by the Adviser, a contract may be entered into with a fee different from the fee schedule set forth above. Retainer clients enter into a one year contract with WFA, paying a flat rate. This rate is for that specific client assets only. The retainer fee is based on the size of the account as well as the expected amount of services requested by the client. Any trips made by the Adviser to visit clients or on their behalf are charged directly to the client, including both travel expenses and travel time. If other professional services, like legal and accounting work, are needed, the providers of such services will bill the clients directly. Before such services are requested, the client will receive a fee disclosure, and must approve the work to be done. Long distance calls made on behalf of the client are charged to the client. There is no charge for the first ½ hour of initial consultation. Either party may terminate a contract at will through written request. Upon termination, clients may receive a pro-rated refund of any advance for hourly work not yet rendered. The contract cannot be assigned without written consent of the client. Wilson Financial Advisors is registered in Utah and Idaho. While WFA has clients in other states, no business is conducted with any individual in a state unless WFA is registered or exempt from registration. Nothing on this website shall be construed as a solicitation of business in any state in which WFA is not registered. Wilson Financial Advisors, Inc.,primarily works with Charles Schwab and TD Waterhouse discount brokerage companies. WFA and brokerages are independent and unaffiliated. WFA receives free downloads and duplicate statements on client accounts from Charles Schwab and TD Waterhouse. The commissions paid by clients to buy mutual funds, stocks or bonds are small, as all these firms have lower fees/commissions than full-service brokerages. Our clients are able to get reduced transaction fees by working with our firm, by virtue of economies of scale. Occasionally we receive research articles, but otherwise we receive no services, kick back, fees or products valued over $100, from these brokerages other than what was detailed.
