Tiller Consulting Group, Inc. is an independent consulting firm specializing in actuarial and risk management consulting services. Founded in 1984 by principals with many years of consulting experience, Tiller Consulting Group, Inc. continues to provide added value above the ordinary to its clients. We consult in the property and casualty insurance lines and in group health. Our clients include individual entities retaining risks, workers' compensation and other risk sharing pools, insurance companies, insurance departments, and law firms. We have clients in both the public and private sectors. We take pride in treating each project on its own merits, with no preconceived notions of the results. We use each client's data to the extent possible. We are compensated by and have direct responsibility only to the client for whom work is performed and to any governmental oversight body on behalf of the public. No assignments are undertaken that would impair the firm's independence or objectivity. We provide a wide variety of services. Typical projects include: ratemaking, reserving, cost allocation and individual risk rating plan design, risk retention feasibility studies, helping with the formation of new risk financing entities, product design, underwriting standards development, designing programs to motivate good risk control practices, advising on excess insurance and reinsurance options, general business advice, litigation support, and expert witness testimony.
