Sendouts Inc
Software development
Info
Sendouts was founded in 1999 by Donald E. Breckenridge Jr. and Richard B. Hall. Prior to launching Sendouts, Mr. Breckenridge and Mr. Hall owned a St. Louis-based software development company that managed full-cycle software projects and supplied onsite contract developers. As the company grew, it faced the challenges of hiring and placing new programmers and managing the hiring process from multiple office locations. In realizing an opportunity within the staffing industry for a web-based applicant tracking system, Don and Rick decided to wind down the software development company and use its seasoned programmers and knowledge of recruiting to create Sendouts. In 1999, Sendouts launched its flagship product, Sendouts Pro, which is now used by more than 800 firms worldwide. Sendouts was originally funded through private investment followed by funding from venture capital firm Gryphon Investments. Overall, Sendouts raised more than $4,000,000 to develop and launch Sendouts Pro. With more than 800 firms onboard, Sendouts has built a solid base of recurring monthly revenue. With this base of revenue, Sendouts has maintained increasing profitability since the fall of 2002 and uses internally generated funds to fuel development of the application and grow its client base.
