MECS is the global leader in sulfuric acid process technology and related high performance products custom engineered for acid plant production environments. The foundations of MECS were constructed and began with Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems Inc. This original company was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Monsanto Company in 1969 through a consolidation of several existing process technology, product and services businesses. Some of these businesses were established as early as 1917. On August 5, 2005 the management team of Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems, Inc. completed the purchase of the subsidiary from Monsanto. As a result, the new MECS Inc. is built on a heritage of nearly 100 years in assisting customers to achieve added value in their process operations. Engineered To Perform, Designed To Last. Our current world wide organization consists of personnel in project and product management, process and design engineering, marketing and sales engineering. Our design engineering group includes all necessary disciplines generally required for a Sulfuric Acid Plant or other process related project or technology. We also utilize current state-of-the-art tools such as 3D CAD and CFD. A high percentage of the organization has previous plant operating, maintenance, and/or start-up experience which helps to bring a practical approach to engineering evaluations, trouble-shooting and new technology solutions.
