Meanwhile, APT is developing its leading drug, a highly promising therapeutic protein targeted to treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS). In addition to AIS, APT102 can capture significant market share of the myocardial infarction, PTCA, and lung ischemia markets. APT is currently initiating partnership negotiations with established pharmaceutical companies for partnering development of APT102 for AIS as soon as pre-IND phase. Development costs of APT102 will be supported by pharmaceutical partner.
