As Abbott EMS of Missouri and Illinois, we have become the largest private ambulance service provider in the Midwest. More than 530 health care professionals and support staff deliver exceptional care and service to our patients, communities and institutional clients. More than 85,000 transports are provided annually with a fleet of over 85 vehicles, including ALS and BLS ambulances, SCT ambulances and stretcher vans. Dozens of communities in Missouri and Illinois utilize Abbott EMS as their recognized 911 EMS provider. The region's largest health insurers provide network non-emergency ambulance service to their members through contracts with Abbott EMS. All of the region's professional sports teams and many of the largest entertainment venues depend upon Abbott EMS to provide dedicated, on-site EMS services. Our Missouri service area covers the 658 square miles of St. Louis City and County and parts of Jefferson, Franklin and St. Charles Counties. Our Illinois service area covers 1,100 square miles of St. Clair and Madison Counties.
