Since 1902, Guth Lighting has been developing lighting fixtures and systems to satisfy Demanding Lighting Conditions. Guth pioneered lighting standards for the 1904 World's Fair. Later, they developed unique lighting fixtures to increase airplane production during the war effort. Guth made possible the use of high intensity lamps in high-bay industrial environments with patented VueTrol® Ribs that reduced glare from reflectors mounted 25' in the air. Guth also conquered glare problems for interstate highway lighting by introducing sign lighting systems with patented optics for uniform light distribution across the sign. Recently, Guth has pioneered innovations in the areas of cleanrooms, food process facilities, hazardous locations and more. In essence, Lighting for Demanding Environments means luminaires designed to do more than deliver light. The fixtures must: help conquer tough ambient conditions in industrial or outdoor environments; resist acids, bleaches or alkalies in pulp and paper plants; eliminate ledges and crevices which become breeding grounds for bacteria in food processing areas or prohibit minute air particles from entering cleanrooms.
