Graduates of CID's graduate degree programs in deaf education and audiology are teachers, clinicians and administrators in programs throughout the country and the world. CID-developed evaluations and curricula are used to help hearing-impaired children in all 50 states, all provinces of Canada, six provinces of Australia and 33 countries. In recent years, CID scientists have been awarded 15 competitive national grants - 11 from NIH and four from NASA. These include two five-year studies of national scope with important implications for parents considering cochlear implants for their children.
