Dr. Fields attended Missouri Western State College after graduating from Savannah High School. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from MWSC, certification in opthamolic dispensing from Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan, Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science with a minor in Physics from Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Fields has attended classes at the University of Houston, University of Missouri at St. Louis, and Northwest Missouri University while doing post doctoral education. He is a third generation optometrist.
