International Apparel Search Inc. is a premier search and recruiting firm that exclusively supports the apparel industry. Through a combination of contingency, priority and retained search models, IAS and its predecessor companies have been supplying the apparel industry with top quality candidates for 17 years. The founder, IAS's president, has spent his entire career in the apparel industry. He initially worked in manufacturing, both domestically and off shore. He took his industry knowledge and entered the recruiting world in 1985 when he joined a Tampa,Florida based apparel recruiting firm. From there, he was hired under contract by GAP Inc. to handle all of their manufacturing recruiting requirements in 1989 both in the United States and Central America. He successfully completed this assignment in half the contracted time. He then formed his own recruiting firm, Wilson & Associates a year later. In its heyday, Wilson & Associates employed 11 recruiters and worked with all of the major apparel companies. After the tragedy of September 11, 2001 and the resultant economic slow down, he downsized and formed Wilson, Correll, Friedlander & Associates. In 2007, International Apparel Search Inc.was launched. Each company in succession benefited from the previous and IAS is the natural evolutionary successor. Wayne Wilson and the focus on the Apparel Industry and professionalism are the common threads. IAS, while continuing to be singularly focused on apparel, refocuses attention on the fewer clients and providing a full range of services. IAS is the result of taking the proverbial "clean sheet of paper" and developing an innovative search firm that intuitively understands the apparel industry and how best to provide top quality search and recruiting services to client companies.
