Vanir, as lead of a joint venture, has served the needs of the district on an on-going basis since 1989. In 1987, the district identified a substantial need for modernization of its 54 school sites. The district passed a $91 million Measure A, GO Bond, to provide badly-needed additions to facilities at 21 campuses and major renovation and improvements at all 54 district properties. Vanir provided master planning and construction management for more than 350 separate projects that were completed using 400+ contractors. Work was divided into three categories: facility improvements, renovation or modernization projects, and new construction.
