The Apex Group is a partnership that was established in 1992 which specializes in government relations and public affairs consulting. Business and political consulting also comprises a portion of the firm's activities. The formation of The Apex Group brought together government relations consultants with their own successful firms, combining their operations to create a unique hybrid firm providing more efficient and cost-effective service to their clients. Since all of the consultants have an interest in the firm, each takes pride ensuring that all client needs are met. Clients are always directly served by a principal in the firm. Usually clients work with a lead consultant; however, the other consultants are always available to provide coverage on issues affecting the clients' interests. If an issue requires timely attention, all of the firm's consultants work together to guarantee a successful outcome. The principals in the firm include: Dave Ackerman, President of DGA Associates; Paul Gladfelty, President of Gladfelty Government Relations; and Jamie Khan, Jamie Khan Governmental Relations/Consulting. The consultants in the firm have extensive background experience in government relations and public affairs activities having previously worked in the administrative branches of government. Their combined years of involvement in state government amounts to over 50 years.
