ACDowd Designs is a graphic design and illustration studio in Saco, Maine that is owned by Angela C. Dowd. Angela uses a Mac and has expertise in PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Dreamweaver, ImageReady, Acrobat and PageMaker. Sketching ideas in pencil is often the starting point for Angela. She almost always has a pad and pencil with her. Meetings often begin with initial sketches. ACDowd Designs collaborates with web developers, printers, pre-press operators, writers, programmers, content providers, marketing researchers, hosting companies and sales reps to complete projects. Angela also works with other designers and art directors. The principles of design and product development were the foundation of Angela's Industrial Design major at San Francisco State University. Her web design training was completed at Santa Rosa Junior College in Sonoma County, California. She studied portraiture at Leighton Studio in San Francisco, California for several years. Angela continues to take workshops in both web and print design to stay current with trends and technology. She attends life drawing sessions and is a member of the Maine Illustrator's Collective. ACDowd Designs is also a member of the Maine Association of Professional Consultants and the Maine Software Development Association.
