Dr. Beckett graduated with a degree in psychology and education from Marymount College, where she was elected to the Dean's list for four years. She received a Master's Degree in school psychology from St. John's University and practiced as a school psychologist before attending medical school. Dr. Beckett received her MD degree from New York Medical College. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the Staten Island University Hospital. She completed her residency in dermatology at New York Medical College, where she served as Chief Resident.
