CGFS was established in 1998 by Cary Hedrick and Gregory Higgins. Located in Arlington Heights IL, CGFS's first clients were companies requiring mainly software contracting work; programming and accounting consulting. CGFS also picked up several clients for bookkeeping and tax returns. In 2002, the company split, and Cary took over CGFS, incorporated it, and turned it into strictly accounting, bookkeeping and taxes. Gregory took the other portion and continued his contracting and e-mail group though it. On October 1, 2002, CGFS, inc. began in business, and is constantly adding new clients to the list.
