The Workshop is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which is broadly representative of the community. Gateway is an educational and vocational community rehabilitation program for the disabled serving approximately 600 disabled citizens since its inception. Our primary goal is to develop the capabilities of individuals and to enable them to become self-supporting through employment in the business and industrial sectors. Gateway has had the highest success rate of any like agency in the Greenbrier Valley accomplishing this goal; and, is currently enjoying the far above average success rate of our disabled clients, of whom we are justly proud. Our workers have become self-supporting taxpayers, not tax consumers. Gateway Industries, Inc. not only makes an impact on the individual client's life, but also on the community through wages paid.
