When Konica Business Technologies recently sought a "host site" to show a group of visiting Latin American sales executives how digital printers and copiers are marketed in the United States, they selected the Rockland, Massachusetts based Bay Copy. Bay Copy, the area's premier provider of digital document solutions, is an authorized dealer for Konica Business Technologies, based in Windsor, Connecticut. Bay Copy was designated as the host site for the Latin American copier/printer sales executives, who are on a mission to learn American techniques for promoting and marketing Konica products. Nationally, Bay Copy has earned significant recognition from Konica for its performance. The company was named "Top Producing Dealer, Digital Products Medium" in 1998; the Rockland firm is also the recipient of the "Million Dollar Circle Award" from Konica for sales volume. This visit comes on the heels of another recent tour at Bay Copy, where a handful of Japanese Konica administrators came to the United States to study marketing, and Bay Copy was the host site for that visit as well. Ray Belanger, president of Bay Copy, said that his staff really enjoyed the chance to meet with the Latin American visitors and explain their marketing and sales techniques. "It was great to have a chance to share information," said Belanger. He added, "The conversion to digital, and the use of networking of digital printers and copiers is truly revolutionizing the way documents and information are generated. We are thrilled that Konica selected us to be the host site for the visit from our Latin American friends."
