Carousel Farm is located on 51 acres in Ashtabula County in northeastern Ohio. The business is owned & operated by Rusty Hobbs; and officially began business activities in 1997. Carousel Farm specializes in the breeding of Dutch Warmblood horses. With the use of frozen semen, in addition to fresh-cooled, Carousel Farm has immediate access to internationally recognized stallions for our breeding program. With the addition of good research, understanding bloodlines and the use of available tools, such as linear scoring, sport indices, Carousel Farm is assured breeding success. Mares are not only bred to stallions with complementary characteristics but toward a Dutch breeding standard that is constantly evolving. This is in part due to the strict selection, evaluation and modernization process followed by the KWPN-NA.
