Lutheran Family Services of Virginia is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc. The Council's program of quality assurance is designed to identify those providers that have set for themselves high standards for performance, and have made a commitment to their constituents to enhance the effectiveness of the service they deliver. Home Based Family Services is licensed through the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services. Minnick Education Center is certified to operate through the Department of Education and is a member of Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities.
