Starr County Memorial has been serving the needs of Starr County since 1975. Currently, SCMH is licensed as a 49 bed acute-care medical center. Several renovations have been made to the facility including an addition to the Laboratory Department, an expansion to add space to the Emergency Department and a new wing to provide more space to the Obstetrics Department. The Emergency Department is certified as a Level 4 Trauma Center.
