Peoples Income Tax was founded by President and CEO Charles E. McCabe in 1987. Initially, we offered income tax preparation and small business accounting and bookkeeping. Since then we have branched out to offer a wide range of financial and small business services, in addition to the tax preparation services we have available. In 1989 we developed The Income Tax School to meet our in-house tax training needs. Since that time there has been a growing need for income tax courses, as more than 50% of all taxpayers file a tax return with a paid tax preparer. We've recognized this need and have refined our tax school materials and have made them available since 1993 to individuals nationwide and beyond as a way to learn taxes and to businesses as a way to train qualified tax preparers in-house. We also offer a tax business owners strategic planning retreat, a turn-key way to operate a tax business, lease-negotiation services and much more to others who are already in the tax business or thinking about starting one of their own.
