Salesian High School is the fourth school in the country and the first outside of New York City selected by the Gilder/Lehrman Foundation. The Foundation will help the school integrate American studies into the school curriculum. Through this grant, Salesian High School has created a small academically rigorous learning environment that offers courses in American history throughout the four-year high school curriculum. The Foundation will oversee Salesian's American Studies Academy and supply support, equipment, hardware and software. Teachers are invited to participate in seminars and enrichment programs and fellowships taught by renowned historians at ivy league schools.
