We would like to introduce you to our eye care team. Each member of our team has undergone training and provides a specialized service in hopes of better serving you. So if you have questions, our team has the answers. Dr. Mitchell Peterson was born and raised in the Sevier Valley. After graduating from Brigham Young University in Biology, he attended Pacific University in Oregon, where he graduated with distinction, and was awarded a Bachelors of Visual Science degree and a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. He has been in practice for 13 years, at first up north -- where he owned American Fork Vision Center, and 20/20 Vision Center in Payson -- before coming back home Richfield in 1994. Dr. Peterson is married to the former Ruth Shaw, from Orem. They have two daughters and two sons. Heather Forbush is a rookie to our team, having only been here two years. Heather takes care of all our frame and lens ordering. Heather uses her knowledge to help in your selection of the right pair of glasses for you. Ask Heather about the many different lens options we have so that we can make sure you are getting just what you're looking for. Heather grew up in Monroe, Utah and still resides there with her darling little boy Heston. She enjoys hunting, camping and fishing -- well, pretty much anything to do with the outdoors. So if you are an outdoors enthusiast Heather can help find the right glasses for you. Jaleen Nielsen has been with our office for 7 years and is in charge of scheduling and patient records. Jaleen is also our contact lens expert, she can help you decide which contact lens is right for you and can let you know all your options. Jaleen resides in Richfield with her husband Brent Nielsen and has four children that keep her really involved. Sheila Anderson is the seasoned veteran of our team and has had over 11 years experience in insurance billing as well as other office and optometric-related procedures. She currently works part-time doing accounts receivable and insurance. If you ever have any questions about your statements or insurance Sheila is the one to ask. Sheila and her husband Kevin Anderson both grew up in Monroe, Utah and currently live in Central Valley along with their 4 children. When it comes to special diagnostic procedures, Stephanie Lewis knows what she is doing. Stephanie is thorough and efficient when it comes to patient care and pre-testing. She has had over 10 years' experience and is always up to date on the latest procedures to ensure the best possible care of your eyes. Stephanie and her husband Jesse live in Central Valley, unless they are at the lake, or some other adventure. Stephanie loves to boat, travel and spend time with her three daughters and two granddaughters. Ric Roberts is an ABO-certified optician and a real asset to our team. He has over 15 years' experience in the optometric field and is up to date on the newest lens technology. Ric can fix or fit anything and is always up for a challenge. We are fortunate to have our own lab in our office and Ric can have most glasses done in a matter of days. Ric grew up in Venice, Utah and is happy to reside there once again with his wife Teresa and their 2 children. Ric enjoys camping, hunting and fishing with his family, and he somehow manages to always find time for a BYU game! Through the years, Dr. Peterson has come to feel very comfortable in sending his patients in need of lasik and other surgical procedures to the highly esteemed Cataract & Lasik Center of Utah.
