Upper Bucks Regional EMS, Inc. proudly protects approximately 30,000 people living in an area of 150+ square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department whose members are a combination of paid and volunteer status. Based in scenic Upper Bucks County, PA, Upper Bucks Regional EMS serves and protects a diverse group of citizens. We provide Advanced Life-Support Service (paramedics) 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. Our large coverage area extends from the banks of the Delaware River (bordering the state of New Jersey) in the East, to the Quakertown area in the West. Our northern-most coverage area ranges from the Northampton County/Lehigh County lines down to the Plumstead Township region in the south- nearly 20 miles in each direction: North-South or East-West. We service a total of 9 municipalities as first-due (including 9 Fire Departments), and provide mutual aid and ALS-assists to 6 others. Recreational areas in our first-due include 4 State Parks, 2 large lakes and 5 campgrounds. We also protect the Route 611 corridor from Plumstead Township in the south to just below the city of Easton, Northampton County, in the north. This area includes a heavy industrial corridor as well as consistently high traffic volume. We enjoy the challenge our area provides on a daily basis.
